Sian Shepherd

Sian is a HCPC Registered Consultant Dietitian who had practising privileges at Circle Health The Cavell Hospital and Kings Oak Hospital in North London from 2002-2024 inclusive, when she left London to live on the Isle of Wight. Consultations are now held remotely.
She has an extensive NHS portfolio and most recently worked on a consultancy basis for the NHS on behalf of The Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust and The Whittington Hospital in London, until her recent move to Hampshire.
She is a specialist gastroenterology dietitian for patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), coeliac disease, Crohn's disease, liver diseases and digestive cancers including neuro-endocrine tumours. She has completed Advanced FODMAP training for the management of patients with IBS and digestive disorders. She has considerable clinical experience in managing pre and post bariatric patients, clients seeking weight management guidance and clients with Type II diabetes.
In recent years at The Whittington Hospital, she managed the dietetic care of patients with head trauma and neurodegenerative diseases including stroke, dementias and Parkinson’s disease.
Her passion alongside gut health, is hospital catering within the NHS, hospitality and commercial sectors. She was part of the award winning team when working at The Royal Marsden Hospital between 2004 -2011, receiving the ‘Good Food on the Public Plate’ awards for incorporating local, seasonal and organic produce into the hospital menus.
Since 2015, she has been an Expert Witness for a number of leading London law firms and is registered with Premex and the UK Register of Expert Witnesses. Sian successfully completed the Cardiff University and Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate in 2025.
Sian was an Affiliate Ambassador for Symprove probiotics in 2021.
