New member benefit gives greater access to worldwide research

29 September 2025

The BDA is joining forces with Dietitians Australia and Dietitians of Canada to offer members free access to their world-leading dietetic journals.

The move to make the Nutrition & Dietetics Journal and the Canadian Journal of Dietetic Practice and Research available to members is to expand the evidence-base and recognise advancements being made across the globe.

The BDA’s Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, which is one of the most highly valued benefits of membership, will also be made available to members of the associations in Canada and Australia, allowing research from the UK to have a much wider reach.

Sian Cunningham, Professional Practice Manager at the BDA, says, “As a registered dietitian and member of the BDA, this is such an amazing benefit, which will really give us the chance to expand not only the reach of the brilliant research happening in the UK, but also to enhance our own learning of practices in Canada and Australia.

“There are a lot of commonalities between our nations and so learning from each other will elevate our understanding of dietetics and nutrition and support our world-leading approaches.”

The journals are peer-reviewed and share the latest original research, reviews, practice guidelines and discussion papers in the field of nutrition and dietetics.

Members can access both journals here - simply ensure you are logged into the BDA website and you can access them with no further logins required.
