I am an Advanced Diabetes Dietitian in Oxford with over 12 years’ experience working with people with Type 1 Diabetes. My clinical practice focuses on supporting individuals living with Type 1 Diabetes lead active lives, and to optimise glycaemic management, performance, and wellbeing. I established the award-winning Oxford Specialist MDT Sports Clinic for adults and children with Type 1 Diabetes in 2016.

I am:

Specialist, not generalist — My work focuses on the intersection of Type 1 diabetes, sport, and growing bodies.

Speaker & educator — I speak regularly at conferences for health care professionals and workshops for people with T1D. I'm proud to be the current Chair of EXTOD (Exercise and T1D) leading a collaboration of expert doctors, dietitians, nurses, exercise physiologists, researchers and lived-experience experts, all working to improve and share understanding about T1D and exercise.

Athlete myself — A cyclist, qualified yoga instructor and gym goer, I understand the value of exercise for physical and mental health. I see how nutrition underpins exercise participation and performance.

I undertake regular clinical supervision with experts in exercise and diabetes, and maintain my knowledge and skills through ongoing continuing professional development.
