Daniel is an applied sport nutritionist with SENR academic associate status and has provided nutrition support for athletes in professional football, rugby union and league, triathlon, marathon and ultra marathon running and formula 1.

Daniel is also a reader in cellular and molecular exercise physiology and leads the applied physiology, nutrition and metabolism research group at Liverpool John Moores, with research skills spanning in vitro models to human in vivo randomised controlled trials on nutrition and metabolism.
