About Gillian:

Now in her third decade of professional dietetic practice, Gillian is absolutely passionate about all things food-related. Sustainability of impact is a key driver that Gillian upholds at all stage of the client journey; all clients can expect Gillian to underpin treatment goals with long-term sustainable change at the core of any care plan.

Specialisation:

Qualifying with a BSc (Hum. Nut. & Diet.) from the University of Dublin, Trinity College, in 1998, Gillian has chalked up a comprehensive range of experience in over two decades as a practising dietitian. Her current specialisations and research interests extend across the specialisms of neurology, acquired brain injury, complex eating disorders, and mental health and wellbeing. Gillian has also enjoyed extended specialist roles in the specialisms of inherited metabolic disorders, endocrinology, weight management and sports performance, and maternal and early years nutrition earlier in her career.

Expertise in Dietetics:

Throughout her career, Gillian has enjoyed opportunities to share her work and achievements at events hosted within and outside the field of Dietetics, both nationally and internationally. Gillian is registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and with the British Dietetic Association (BDA), for whom she also currently serves as Vice Chairperson. Both of these professional bodies actively support all registered health professionals to follow best practice, to engage in continuing professional development, and to safeguard clients in their care. Dietitians are the only nutrition professionals currently permitted to join the HCPC register, and by choosing a registered dietitian to support your care pathway, you are assured of the highest level of quality assurance and protection on your journey to better nutritional health.
