Sian is a HCPC Registered Consultant Dietitian with practising privileges at BMI/Circle The Cavell Hospital and Kings Oak Hospital in North London. Since the pandemic consultations have been carried out remotely. 'Face to face’ consultations have also recently resumed.
She has an extensive NHS portfolio and now works on a consultancy basis for the NHS on behalf of The Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust and The Whittington Hospital in London.
She is a specialist gastroenterology dietitian for patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), coeliac disease, crohn's disease, liver diseases and digestive cancers including neuro-endocrine tumours. She has completed Advanced FODMAP training for the management of patients with IBS and digestive disorders. She has considerable clinical experience in managing pre and post bariatric patients, clients seeking weight management guidance and clients with Type II diabetes.
In recent years at The Whittington Hospital, she managed the dietetic care of patients with head trauma and neurodegenerative diseases including stroke, dementias and Parkinson’s disease.
Her passion alongside gut health, is hospital catering within the NHS, hospitality and commercial sectors. She was part of the award winning team when working at The Royal Marsden Hospital between 2004 -2011, receiving ‘Good Food on the Public Plate’ awards for incorporating local, seasonal and organic produce into the hospital menus.
Since 2015 she has been an Expert Witness for a number of leading London law firms and is registered with Premex and UK Register of Expert Witnesses. She was an Affiliate Ambassador for Symprove probiotics in 2021.
