The BDA is playing its part in supporting families and households experiencing food insecurity by working with Barnardo’s on a new cooking skills project.
As we receive yet more evidence that the confused implementation of Brexit is causing food shortages in Northern Ireland, the BDA is calling on the Northern Ireland and UK Governments to take urgent action.
In this third nation-wide lockdown, the British Dietetic Association has called on governments across the UK to finally take urgent and sustained action on food insecurity for people of all ages.
The BDA believes that nobody should live in food poverty and that UK Government and local authorities must take urgent action to lift people out of food poverty and prevent others from falling into food poverty. This should include enshrining a “Right to Food” in UK law.
