The Honours Committee is now recruiting for a new member who has a knowledge and experience of the profession and who has an interest in supporting and promoting our system for recognising those members who go above and beyond.

The committee is particularly interested in members with an interest or experience in Higher Education and professional practice. Some experience of writing nominations would be helpful.
The BDA Honours committee members use their expertise and knowledge to promote the profession around the UK, guide members where appropriate on Honours applications and undertake relevant research and drafting of Honours citations.
The Committee oversees and manages Honours applications for
- Internal BDA Honours such as Fellowships, Professional Achievement, Ibex, Edith Elliot, Honorary Associate
- National Honours e.g. OBE, MBE, BEM
- European Honours i.e. those run by EFAD
