Aim:
The aim of this course is to equip delegates with the knowledge and skills for the nutritional management of pharmacological and surgical treatments for obesity
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Understand the biology of obesity and weight loss
- Understand how obesity medications and bariatric surgery treat the underlying biology of obesity
- Facilitate behavioural changes to optimise treatment responses from obesity medications and bariatric surgery
- Assess for nutritional risks associated with obesity medications and bariatric surgery
Registration criteria:
To be eligible to register, participants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Have previously attended the BDA course Working with Adults Living with Obesity
- Is your current caseload 50% or more treating people living with obesity?
