Dietary Management of Obesity Medications and Bariatric Surgery

Aim:

The aim of this course is to equip delegates with the knowledge and skills for the nutritional management of pharmacological and surgical treatments for obesity 

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Understand the biology of obesity and weight loss
  2. Understand how obesity medications and bariatric surgery treat the underlying biology of obesity
  3. Facilitate behavioural changes to optimise treatment responses from obesity medications and bariatric surgery
  4. Assess for nutritional risks associated with obesity medications and bariatric surgery

Registration criteria:

To be eligible to register, participants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  1. Have previously attended the BDA course Working with Adults Living with Obesity
  2. Is your current caseload 50% or more treating people living with obesity?
