It offers a solid foundation for those new to these approaches, alongside valuable opportunities for peer support, shared learning, and professional networking for those already working in this evolving field.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Understand the biology of obesity and weight loss
  2. Understand how obesity medications and bariatric surgery treat the underlying biology of obesity
  3. Facilitate behavioural changes to optimise treatment responses from obesity medications and bariatric surgery
  4. Assess for nutritional risks associated with obesity medications and bariatric surgery
Registration criteria:

To be eligible to register, participants must have previously attended the BDA course Working with Adults Living with Obesity.  Delegates that do not meet this criterion will not be eligible to attend this course.
