Field Doctor, a dietitian-led frozen meal company, has joined the BDA as a corporate supporter.
The UK company offers a range of over 60 frozen ready meals, including low FODMAP, gluten-free, Mediterranean and high protein options - meals can be filtered to suit specific allergies, intolerances, health conditions and dietary goals like weight management and heart health. Meals are designed by registered dietitian Laura Tilt and are based on peer-reviewed nutrition research.
BDA corporate membership is available for organisations that are committed to evidence-based nutrition communications and are open to constructive dialogue with the BDA and its members.
We welcome the opportunity to work with an organisation that recognises the importance of evidence-based nutrition information and utilises this in the development of their products.
Jo Lewis, BDA Commercial Director, said "We welcome Field Doctor as a corporate supporter of the BDA. Corporate memberships provide opportunities for constructive engagement with industry and help to ensure dietetic insights are reflected in discussions about food and nutrition.
"With a dietitian in their senior leadership team and products that have been based on nutrition science, it is clear that Field Doctor values dietetic expertise. We look forward to working with them to share reliable messages around food and nutrition."
The partnership will create opportunities for Field Doctor to engage with the dietetic profession and gain insights from registered dietitians' experiences of using meal-delivery products to support patients. They will also support future BDA activity, including our low FODMAP training course and specialist group events for members.
Reflecting on becoming a corporate supporter, Laura Tilt, Registered Dietitian and Head of Science at Field Doctor, commented "Dietitians are central to everything we do, which makes partnering with the British Dietetic Association a natural fit - and we're delighted to be a supporter.
"What sets us apart in the ready meal space is that nutrition isn't an afterthought. Every meal starts with a dietitian-led brief and the science guides the recipe rather than the other way round. Guided by myself and a wider network of dietitians, we're committed to keeping pace with the nutrition science on eating well - closing the everyday gaps in fibre and vegetables and making healthy eating easier for everyone, especially people managing health conditions, allergies and intolerances.
"We're also building a network of healthcare professionals, so we can share the science behind our meals and work together to better support people managing health conditions"
